Saturday, May 26th, Mikaela's best buddy, Antonio came to play while his mommy and daddy went out on a date. Mike and I took them to the splash park in Carrollton. It's fun to watch them play and have a great time together. They are such good friends.

Carrollton 5K
Last week on May 19, Mike and I ran the Carrollton 5K. It was actually along the greenbelt by our house, but it was a fun run just to get some times and see how we're doing. I shaved almost 3 minutes off my previous time by crossing the finish line in 32 minutes flat. Mike crossed a few minutes earlier with a time of 29:08.

New Dog Park
Sunday afternoon we took Cocoa Bean to a new dog park that opened up just minutes from our old apartment (which is only 5 miles west of where we live now). It will be a great place to take Cocoa on occasion.
There was a small pond for puppies to play in. Cocoa loves swimming. |

Mother's Day
For Mother's Day, Mike grilled out at our house and we gathered for a delicious meal with Aunt Amy and the Graemparents. I hope all of the Mother's out there had a beautiful day! I am so thankful for my mother and my mother-in-law. Both of these women are such a blessing in my life.

Mother's Day at Chick-fil-A
No, we didn't spend our Mother's Day at Chick-fil-a. It's kind of hard to do since they are closed on Sundays. However, the Tuesday before, at Family Night, we went and Mikaela had the opportunity to color a card and an oven mitt for her mommy.

Talk to Gran
As we were getting ready for bed, Mikaela kept saying that she wanted to go to the store. We told her it was dark outside and the store was closed. We would have to wait for light for it to open so that we could go to the store, to which she replied, "I want to make light."
"Well, you'll have to talk to God about that one."
"No, I talk to Gran."
