Nicholas is two months old. Here are his stats:
Weight: 11 lbs 6 oz (65%)
Length: 23 3/4 (70%)
Head: 15 1/2 (50%)
Nicholas is growing well. He is generally a very calm baby.
Favorite activities:
watching his surroundings
looking at faces
laying on his back in his baby gym/activity center
grabbing at toys (sometimes)
Eating:
Nicholas eats about every three hours. He loves to eat! He has his daddy's appetite. I am still nursing.
Sleep:
Nicholas is a good sleeper. He started giving us 5 hour stretches almost every night when he was one month. Now he sleeps on average 6-7 hour stretches at night. His record is 9 hours. He did that after his first day with Mariel, our babysitter. He spent two days with her while Mike was in the hospital so that I could be there with him during the day. He goes down at night around 9, wakes between 3 and 4, then is down until 6:30 or 7. He takes a longer nap (1-3 hours) midday (11am) and 2-3 other catnaps of 30 to 45 minutes throughout the day.
Language:
No, he doesn't talk yet, but he is starting to coo and make sounds. He loves to smile at people and opens his mouth wide as though he's trying to figure out the talking thing. It's pretty cute.
