Two weeks ago, Mike and I participated in The Color Run which benefits the American Heart Association. If you've ever run in a 5K - this is unlike any other. You are to start the race clean, wearing a white shirt. At every kilometer you are "showered" with color (which is some cornstarch color mixture). At the conclusion of the race there is a "Color Explosion" to celebrate a job well done. The pictures explain it all.
Before the run.... and the mess...
During the run....

2nd Kilometer - a sea of pink... |

the purple haze - shout out to all you lumberjacks! |

4th kilometer - it's raining green |

the finish line |
Here are several shots of the Color Explosion. Each runner is given an additional packet of color to toss at the end of the race. A big mess, but pretty to watch.
