Easter

Easter weekend was filled with wodnerful family time and of course, egg hunts.  We were joking that we could just have a progressive hut and go from church to church all day and egg hunt for hours.  But who needs that much candy or toys?  However, we did attend two egg hunts this year.  Mike took the kids to VVCC Saturday morning when invited there by some friends

Saturday after lunch we colored eggs that would later make delicious deviled eggs to eat.
Saturday afternoon we went to the egg hunt at our church which was complete with food and bounce houses.  The kids had a great time.
With her school friend, Gabi.

On Sunday we were to church with my folks followed by dinner at our house and a backyard egg hunt.

Happy Easter Everyone!  May the King bring resurrection in your life!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend is always a fun time to celebrate the fun stuff, like coloring and hunting eggs, but most importantly it's a great time to remember the sacrifice Christ made for us.  It's my favorite holiday.
Nick at school for his Easter fun.
On Good Friday, we relaxed at home (while Daddy had to work).  We watched "The Easter Carol" by VeggieTales and then colored eggs.

On Saturday, we went to the Easter Party at Vista Ridge campus for a little bounce house and egg hunt fun.

Sunday morning we went to the early service at VR.  My parents and sister joined us.  It was a piano lead, hymn based service.  The kids sat with us as there was no kids branch for that service.  It was a great time of family worship.

After the service, the kids went to VVCC with my parents while Mike and I went back home to hide eggs and prep everything for Easter dinner.  We had a great family meal at our new home this year.  It was great.  The backyard is great for hiding/hunting eggs.

Happy Easter from the Morelands!

Easter Weekend

Since Nicholas is so young (and his parents are so tired), we had a more low key Easter.  Good Friday, the kids and I spent at Graemma's while Daddy was working.  Mikaela had countless hours of egg hunt practice.    On Saturday, we spent the day at home watching a couple of VeggieTales Easter movies and dying eggs.

On Sunday, Mike and Mikaela went to church.  Following the service, they had egg hunts for the kids.  Mikaela jumped the gun to start, but when Mike called her back, she got embarrassed and decided not to participate in the church hunt.

After church, Mike and Mikaela came back to my parents' house where Nicholas and I had spent the morning and we had lunch with the Graems.

After lunch we took some pictures outside and Mikaela got to hunt eggs again with Graemma and Aunt Amy.

And what did Nicholas do?
