On Monday, November 2, Mikaela turned 6 years old.
We haven't done her yearly check up yet, so I don't have stats, but she's tall and keeps growing, despite her poor eating habits.
Food she likes: sweets, mac n cheese, some chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, raisins, green grapes, cheese, yogurt, apples, bananas, pumpkin bread, chocolate and white milk
Activities she enjoys: riding her bike (still trying to master no training wheels), running, coloring, watching t.v, singing
She is taking tap and ballet as well as piano. She's doing a little better each week.
School is going well. It's been an adjustment and she has her off days, but overall she likes it.
We had her party on Halloween this year so all her friends could wear their costumes. Due to rainy weather, the party moved into the garage, but they still had a great time.

October
Things are busy around here, as usual, so here's a little catch up to what we've been doing around here.
Mid October Farmers Branch had their annual Blue Grass Festival which has a lot of fun kid things to do.

Halloween Fun
I intended to do one Halloween post on Nov. 1st, so that today, Nov. 2nd, I could post about Mikaela turning five. However, I had to run 12 miles (turned out to be 11.4), immediately followed by 3 hours of helping at my program's garage sale, only to spend the rest of the afternoon/evening preparing for Mikaela's party. So... I'm just now getting to the Halloween post.
Last week, Mike's company had a Fall Festival event that we attended. Here are photos from that.
On Halloween during the day, my school allowed kids to dress up (It was Red Ribbon Week) and teachers were encouraged to as well. Someone got the idea that teachers should be different types of fairies (Vocabulary Fairy, Coronary Fairy, Contrary Fairy, Literary Fairy, Scary Fairy, Revolutionary Fairy, etc).
I was the Dairy Fairy:
Then that night, we did "Trunk or Treat" at church, followed by a few houses in the Graemparents' neighborhood.
